I would like to welcome you to my first official blog post. I am dedicating this lifestyle blog to fashion, food, travel, music, and home decor.

Although I have always had a fascination in these areas, I had never allowed myself to spend too much time or effort to explore these interests. Upon graduating college, I felt the immediate need to search for a job. Growing up, it was always ingrained to me that my passions were school and a stable career. Somehow my true passions fell to the wayside. After having spent some years in the working world, I began having serious thoughts and doubts about my career path and where I was heading. I began to intently analyze the meaning of my life and purpose instead of the numbers in the spreadsheets before me. I would gaze blankly out the window and daydream about a life I wish could be having. I felt the need to draw some inspiration. I wanted a free space to pin all my ideas, dreams, and aspirations together. I have spent some of these years drawing out ideas on how I could express my numerous interests. What I have come to realize is that I gain the most satisfaction out of reading and writing about what I love. So here I am writing my new beginning. I am happy to share this new journey with you. I welcome you to Venicesa.

You might ask yourself about the origin of this peculiar name. My simple explanation to this convoluted love affair dates back to the time when I fell in love with Venice. I first discovered the beautiful city on a family vacation.  I was about 10 years old when I made this discovery. Although I was young, a little naive, I was very captivated by the Venetian Lagoon, the lovely canals of Italy. I was so enamored by the beauty of the gondolas, the sound of the waters moving, and the beautiful homes that sat by the waters, each with its own unique design. I wanted to make the city my own. That was the true birth of my inspiration.
